Given the harvesting issues and shortage of staff due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we ask for your patience as it may be a few weeks before our staff can respond to your request!
Our harvests are prioritized as follows:
Geographically. For efficiency we try to harvest by neighborhoods and this may shorten or lengthen the time until we can harvest your property.
Maturity of citrus. Some fruit, such as grapefruit, improve in sweetness as they ripen and can be left on the tree for variable lengths of time. Therefore, we may skip certain trees on your property and return to them later.
Diversity. We try to keep a variety of fruit available for distribution and this may affect the timing of your harvest.
Once these priorities are applied to your request, a staff person from our office will contact you with a proposed harvest date and information on our harvesting process.
